There are many definitions of the word “abundance” out there, but I like this one best: “Abundance denotes a sufficiency to supply every want; expresses the idea of superfluity or excess.” With this definition, who in this world would not wish for abundance? Who would not want to live a life devoid of scarcity? I know I would.
Most people look at the word “abundance” as a synonym of the word “wealth.” But abundance is not only limited to material possessions or money. It can also mean having an overflowing love and happiness from your family or an immeasurable feeling of security, satisfaction and fulfillment with your career or a feeling of unending peace knowing that you and your loved ones are in good health.
In short, abundance is not a dollar amount, it is simply anything that brings you happiness. Many people chase after abundance but end up wondering why all their efforts do not yield the results they long for. Little do they know that their actions toward attracting abundance are wrong. You can see below a list of some of the most important things you should and shouldn’t do to attract abundance:
What You Should Do
1. See the world as an abundant and providing place.
Acknowledging that abundance is all around you will unlock the door to that abundance. When you see the world as abundant and friendly and stop seeing it as a place of scarcity and lack, it will become just that. Remember that you are bound to attract whatever it is that you vibrate. If your energy vibrates abundance, you will attract abundance.
2. Stay in an attitude of allowing.
Many people don’t get the best in life because they are unable to stay in a state of allowing. Often, there is disharmony between our desires for abundance and our beliefs about our abilities or capacities. It is important that we learn to be in perfect alignment with what we want to attain. This means that you need to let go of all resistance in the form of thoughts of negativity or doubt and refuse to do anything or have any thought that compromises your alignment with your desires.
3. Develop an attitude of gratitude.
It is important that you learn to appreciate everything that you are able to manifest into your life. Maintain gratefulness even when what you ultimately desired hasn’t arrived yet. Appreciate all that life has given you now and be enthusiastic about the things that are yet to come. Remember that you always draw to yourself whatever it is that is active in your vibration. If you maintain an attitude of gratefulness, you will attract into your life more things to be grateful for.
What You Shouldn’t Do
1. Dwell on things that you lack. It is your thoughts that create your reality.
This means that if you focus on what you don’t have and resent what and where you are at present, all the things that you dislike will persist. Complaining about things that you lack is bound to bring you more of the same experience. So the next time you find yourself worrying about the lack of money, love or fulfillment remind yourself that what you are doing is causing you to attract more of the experience of lack into your life.
2. Hold on to self limiting beliefs.
Self-limiting beliefs are beliefs that you hold in your subconscious mind that limits you getting what you really want in life. Some of the common self limiting beliefs come in the form of these statements, “I’m not good enough.”; “Other people are better than me.”; “He/She would never like someone like me.” Self-limiting beliefs like these are often are exaggerated, faulty and outdated thoughts that obstruct or even halt your growth. It is important that you work on getting rid of this kind of thoughts as the conscious creation process is largely affected by your set of personal beliefs.
