Exercise can go a long way toward eliminating stress. Exercise does not only serve as a healthy outlet for negative energy and a distraction from stressful thoughts; it also promotes the release of your bodys natural happy hormones called endorphins.
So with exercise, you should experience the uplifting qualities that physical exercise promotes. So do not make stress an excuse for skipping your exercise routine. Rather, make stress your reason to exercise. Set aside 15 to 30 minutes each day doing physical activity that you enjoy.
Avoid self-medication or drug induced escape.
A lot of people opt to relieve their stress through alcohol and the use of medications. Although doing these can help temporarily take away the negative emotions brought about by stress, they are not able to help you resolve whatever it is that is causing you stress and can even have negative effects to your health.
As much as possible, manage the stress in your life naturally without resorting to drugs and other potentially harmful elements that only provide temporary relief.
Although it is not possible to avoid stress totally, we can learn to meet it efficiently and live with it successfully. Excessive, unmanaged stress can affect every aspect of your life, jeopardizing your physical well-being, your psychological health, your behavior, and your performance at work.
