1. Accept and admit that you need to change.
The first step towards change is realizing that there is something that must be changed. You must first acknowledge that you have grown tired of who you are and that you long to become something more–become who you were really meant to be.
Have you have grown weary of settling for mediocrity? Have you gone tired of your small-mindedness? Accept the reality that all these things must be changed. Accept wholeheartedly that who you are today, is not who you are meant to become.
2. Decide what you want to be.
It is not enough that you point out the things that you want to change. You must also clearly envision what you want to be or how you want your “new self” to be. Make sure that you are clear with what you want to be, who you want to be and what you want to have. Having clear objective goals is a crucial part of successfully transforming your life.
3. Rid yourself of self-limiting beliefs.
Your self-limiting beliefs are the biggest and often strongest barrier between you and the life that you wish to live. These sneaky thoughts often pop up every time you feel inspired or motivated to do something new or extraordinary. They fill your head with negative thoughts and force you to believe that you are not good enough, that you are incapable and that you are bound to fail.
These insanely strong thoughts hold you back from doing what you need to do to achieve your goals. If you want to transform your life and realize your true potentials, take the time to identify, challenge and eliminate your self-limiting beliefs.
4. Make plans and take action.
Of course, you cannot just sit around and expect transformation to come knocking at your door. You need to be proactive and act for change. Take a look at your goals and think about what you can do to achieve them.
You can start by making small changes but be sure to sustain them and progress to bigger leaps of transformation later on. Experts say that it takes 21 days to break a habit, so be sure to gear yourself with enough perseverance and dedication.
